Tonic for Health FAQ

Silver Cross Hospital and its affiliated medical groups have integrated with a platform called Tonic, a digital platform that allows the patient the convenience of quickly registering for their scheduled appointment from any device and any location before they arrive.

What is Changing?

We are streamlining the check-in process for scheduled appointments at our Imaging Center, Outpatient Testing Center, Center for Women's Health and our medical group clinics, allowing patients the convenience of reviewing and submitting their information before arriving. Existing patients will simply verify and confirm information. New patients can fill in the information before arriving for the scheduled appointment.

Will I Receive Notifications?

Yes, but no more than usual. If you've opted into text communications, the link to access your pre-appointment forms will be included in your appointment reminder text. The forms will also live in your MySilverCross Patient Portal.

Will I Be Able to Check-In for My Appointment Online?

Yes! The best part is, when you arrive, you can simply scan the QR code in the waiting room with your mobile device, and that will notify staff of your arrival.

I’d Rather Check-In at the Desk – Can I Still Talk to Someone?

Of Course. If you’d rather check in at the desk or need to address a registration concern, our friendly staff are always available to speak with.

Can I see a preview or a how-to video?

Yes, please view here: Tonic for Registration and Check-In

Physicians on Silver Cross Hospital’s Medical Staff have expertise in their areas of practice to meet the needs of patients seeking their care. These physicians are independent practitioners on the Medical Staff and are not the agents or employees of Silver Cross Hospital. They treat patients based upon their independent medical judgment and they bill patients separately for their services.
