They team up to evaluate and provide a personalized care plan so patients can begin treatment within the shortest time possible. After a single visit, you leave with peace of mind and a plan in hand to consider.

How Does it Work?
Patients talk with a lung cancer specialist via phone who gathers the medical information to share at the Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Conference to be reviewed by a group of community and University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center specialists including:
- Interventional Radiologists
- Medical Oncologists
- Pathologists
- Pulmonologists
- Radiation Oncologists
- Thoracic Surgeons.
Together, they:
- Review the patient’s case including any related pathology and imaging reports available
- Develop a consensus recommendation
- Discuss next steps
- Present the suggested individualized treatment plan to the patient and primary care physician for consideration.
Since time if of essence when treating lung cancer, all the specialists involved in the Lung Cancer Conference donate their time and expertise to assist patients in receiving a personalized treatment plan option.
