Silver Cross Sehring Medal of Excellence
The Silver Cross Sehring Medal of Excellence recognizes the accomplishments of an outstanding individual for his or her service to the healthcare profession. The Medal’s name honors the memory of George H. Sehring, M.D. – a dedicated physician who throughout his more than 40 years of service to our community personified the values for which the medal is awarded. A silver medal and plaque are awarded at the annual Childerguild Ball to a leader who exhibits the highest degree of personified of professional competence, resourcefulness, loyalty, benevolence, and dedication to the health care profession. The recipient exemplifies the values of caring service to others that are the bedrock of Silver Cross Hospital tradition.

Silver Cross Sangmeister Medal of Excellence
The Silver Cross Sangmeister Medal of Excellence is given to recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding individual for his or her service to the community. The Medal’s name honors the memory of George H. Sangmeister, a devoted servant to Silver Cross Hospital, our local communities, and our state and federal government. A silver medal and plaque are awarded at the annual Childerguild Ball to a leading citizen for competence, service, and dedication in a field other than healthcare that contributes to the common good. The recipient exemplifies the values of caring service to others that are the bedrock of Silver Cross Hospital tradition.
