Silver Cross Hospital provides a free tour of our attractive Birthing Center for soon-to-be parents! Registration required. Photo ID must be scanned upon start of tour.

Registration Details

Who Should Enroll:

Expectant mothers and families aged 18+ are welcome to attend but need to be enrolled. Everyone who will be attending needs to be enrolled!

Description

Join us for an in-person tour of the Birthing Center Unit!

Limited to 16 guests per tour, aged 18 and over only. Every guest must register ahead of time and bring their photo ID with them to check in on your selected date. 

Tour is approximately 30 minutes total and includes the Labor & Delivery Suites, the OB Triage area and the Post-Partum Suites.

The meeting point for all participants is the Main Entrance of the hospital. Upon arrival, kindly proceed to the main lobby desk for check-in and have your picture ID scanned. Guests will be asked to wait in the lobby until the Labor & Delivery nurse arrives to accompany them to the unit and commence the tour.

Baby Basics

Parents-to-be and new parents can learn about their baby’s physical care and health skills at a special one day program. Please allow 2 hours for this class.

Breastfeeding Class

Learn the basics of breastfeeding including establishing a good milk supply, avoiding difficulties, using breast pumps, and more.

Prepared Childbirth Education

Participants will receive instruction from the Birthing Center staff on breathing, relaxation and floor exercise techniques in this class. Class is approximately 4 hours. Classes held in the Conference Center, lower level of Pavilion A.
