Services
Shirley Ryan AbilityLab at Silver Cross professionals offer evaluation, therapeutic services and patient education for the following Lymphedema related conditions:
- Cancers including but not limited to Breast, Cervical, Colon, Head and Neck, Prostate, and Skin.
- Lower Leg Lymphedema due to venous insufficiency, radiation as a result of cancer treatment, surgery related to trauma, or certain skin infections.
Prevention and treatment for Lymphedema (swelling following the removal of lymph nodes) is provided by a LANA certified therapist. This treatment consists of education, manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging and garment fitting, exercise, and long term home management.
