Dr. Darius Keblinskas Appointed to Silver Cross Hospital Foundation Board

Darius Keblinskas, M.D., has joined the Board of Directors for the Silver Cross Foundation – the 501(c)(3) fundraising arm for Silver Cross Hospital.
“Dr. Keblinskas is a wonderful addition to our Board,” said Tracy Simons, Executive Director of the Silver Cross Foundation. “His guidance and unique perspective will help to ensure that we continue to bring advanced healthcare services to area residents.”
Board certified in diagnostic radiology with fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology, Dr. Keblinskas joined the Silver Cross Medical Staff in 2004. He was just elected to his sixth term as Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Silver Cross Hospital and is a managing partner and Vice President of Advanced Midwest Radiology (AMR).
Dr. Keblinskas was the first to perform several cutting-edge procedures at Silver Cross Hospital including chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors as well as the TIPS procedure. When not caring for patients, Dr. Keblinskas lends his expertise as Radiation Safety Officer and Section Chief for Silver Cross’ Nuclear Medicine Department and as a member of the Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Conference, Gastrointestinal Tumor Board, and Improving Organizational Performance and Utilization Committees. He is the Medical Director of the Medical Sonography Program at Joliet Junior College and serves on the Board of Trustees at his alma matter Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Keblinskas is also a member of the Chicago Area Sail Racing Association and Lake Michigan Sail Racing Federation.
He resides in Chicago with his wife Dr. Claudia Hawkins, Professor of Medicine-Infectious Diseases at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, and their two children.
