Dr. Lubomyra Kazaniwskyj, D.O. and Dr. Andrew Kazaniwskyj, D.O., will begin seeing patients at the Silver Cross Medical Group facility in Lemont on September 17th. The doctors welcome all patients age six and over, and at any stage in life who are needing a family practice doctor.

Dr. Luba Promotes Comfortable Doctor and Patient Relationship

Dr. L. Kazaniwskyj, or Dr. Luba as her patients call her, stresses the importance of a comfortable doctor and patient relationship. “Each patient is an individual, not just a disease process,” she says. “My job is to make them feel comfortable coming to me when they are sick or in need of preventive care. I want them to feel like they are special and I treat my patients with compassion and respect.”  

Dr. Andrew Kazaniwskyj Believes in Thorough Patient Involvement in Treatment Plans

Though it’s no surprise they have a special connection, the doctors share similar philosophies on the care and respect they provide their patients. “Part of the holistic approach is to make sure the patient is thoroughly involved in their own care,” says Dr. Andrew Kazaniwskyj, “ as its very important for the patient to understand what is going on with them, the treatment that is being proposed and also having a say in that treatment. There are many different approaches a patient may take to their treatment…and I respect all of them.”
