Safety Always Top Priority at Silver Cross Hospital
At Silver Cross Hospital, your safety is our No. 1 priority. It guides every decision we make and reaches every corner of our hospital.
Universal Masking and Temperature Scanning
When you arrive at Silver Cross, you will be given a hospital-grade mask to wear. This gives an added level of protection for every person who comes into our hospital. All Silver Cross staff, volunteers and medical staff are required to have their temperatures when they report to work. In addition, all patients and visitors must have their temperature taken by a contactless infrared temperature scanner at all entrances and answer COVID-19 screening questions.
11th Straight A for Patient Safety from Leapfrog Group
Our dedication to safety recently earned us our 11th Straight A for Patient Safety from the Leapfrog Group.
Elective Surgeries and Screenings Return and Telehealth Visits Offered
In mid-May, Silver Cross resumed elective surgeries, elective outpatient services, tests and procedures, including screening mammograms, screening colonoscopies and more. For additional safety, any patient coming into the hospital for a surgical procedure undergoes a COVID-19 test. For individuals who prefer to have a medical visit remotely, Silver Cross offers CareConnect, which allows patients to virtually connect with a doctor for most minor illnesses. Silver Cross Medical Group providers are also offering TeleVisits.
Silver Cross is a Safe Place to Be!
We understand you may have concerns about coming to the hospital or a doctor’s office as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, but you have our assurance, Silver Cross has put rigorous safety measures in place to protect you and your loved ones. If you need care or have a medical emergency or need to have surgery, don’t delay.
