Christopher Udovich, M.D.
Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Christopher Udovich serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Silver Cross Hospital.
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Udovich is responsible for aligning the efforts of the hospital and the medical staff, and actively engages in driving excellence in quality, safety, and health outcomes.
He’s also a board-certified family medicine doctor in private practice at Hedges Clinic in Mokena. Dr. Udovich joined Hedges Clinic and Silver Cross Hospital in 2001 after completing his medical degree and Family Practice Residency at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and LaGrange Memorial Hospital, respectively.
Dr. Udovich’s undergraduate degree is from Illinois Wesleyan University. After completing his residency, he developed a busy primary care practice, and gradually assumed leadership roles within both his medical group and the hospitals at which he was on staff.
His leadership roles at Silver Cross Hospital are many. He has served as Chief of Staff and Department Chair of Family Medicine (2007-2009). He has chaired or served on numerous committees of the hospital that have contributed in countless ways to making Silver Cross a better place for patients, physicians, employees, and volunteers.
Dr. Udovich also is active with the Will Grundy County Medical Society, where he is a past President and current member of its Board of Directors. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Udovich is a “locally grown” physician and leader. He was born and raised in Joliet and attended Joliet Catholic High School.
