125 Years in the Making.
For 125 years, we’ve served generations of families just like yours with care, compassion and commitment.
Our Silver Cross story began on Thanksgiving Day 1895, when the Will County Union of King’s Daughters and Sons opened the doors to a 33-bed hospital in Joliet. They named it Silver Cross, after their emblem – the Maltese cross – and made a promise to provide quality healthcare to all.
With our community’s support, we’ve grown tremendously over the years, serving our patients through a thriving 300-bed hospital, a robust ambulatory care system and nationally recognized care close to home.
As we have since 1895, we promise to deliver an unrivaled experience to every patient, every time.
Here’s to the next 125 years.
