Silver Cross Announces Medical Staff Appointments
Andrea Amico, M.D., board-certified oncologist, has joined the Silver Cross Medical Staff. Dr. Amico attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed her internal medicine residency also at Indiana University. Her office is located at the University of Chicago Medicine Center for Advanced Care, 14290 South LaGrange Road, Orland Park. Advisory Board Completes $105,000 Pledge to Silver Cross Hospital
The Advisory Board recently gave Silver Cross Hospital $48,985. This latest gift completed the organization’s three- year $105,000 pledge to help fund the purchase of nine inpatient beds, four emergency department stretchers, a blanket warmer and an instrument tray for daVinci® robotic-assisted Single-Site® surgery. Silver Cross performs more robotic-assisted surgical procedures than any other surgical facility in the Chicago area. Specially-trained surgeons with The Midwest Institute for Robotic Surgery at Silver Cross Hospital are performing hysterectomies and removing gallbladders through a single incision in the naval with virtually scarless results.
