As a not-for-profit institution, we are pro-transplant, and work closely with our patients and the Chicago hospital transplant facilities as well as Gift of Hope. Silver Cross averages about 5 transplants per quarter.

Renal Replacement Therapy modality choice

Aside from being the largest recipient of organ donation, we are the largest provider of in-center hemodialysis and at home peritoneal dialysis therapies.

Physician Choice

We currently have 6 referring nephrologists on staff at Silver Cross Hospital and Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center and 5 nephrologists on staff at Morris Hospital.

Highly skilled and educated staff

We currently have 30 licensed nurses and 10 staff members that are certified in nephrology. Continuing education is a primary focus for ongoing competency in a technologically advancing field.
