What We Provide
Silver Cross Home Health offers comprehensive in-home services for patients who are ready to complete their recovery in the comfort of their own homes. Our expert staff provides a full range of skilled services and wound care supplies to make recovery at home easier.
Patients recovering at home heal faster when they become partners in managing their own health care. The Silver Cross Home Health nurses will assess your health status and provide skilled nursing services such as wound care, catheter care, injections, infusion therapy and medication management. They carefully monitor your progress and identify and report any changes in your condition to your physician. They will also teach you or your caregiver how to manage your health care needs independently.
Silver Cross Home Health is Medicare certified, licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the first home health agency in the area to be accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. We are also a member of the National Association of Home Care and the Illinois Home Care Council.

Silver Cross Home Health Care also offers the Lifeline medical alert program to patients. The Lifeline program provides medical alert services for millions of people age 65 or older to preserve independence and quality of life. By simply touching the Personal Help Button on a small device worn by the homeowner, a Lifeline representative immediately responds 24 hours a day, 365 days a year connecting the senior with the necessary help whether it be emergency services or a family member or friend. Home Care Qualifications and Costs
To qualify for home care services, Medicare patients must be homebound, in need of intermittent care and under the care of a physician. In addition, anyone who requires professional medical assistance to remain at home may request our services. We also care for patients who have come from other health care facilities and reside in our service area.
Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs and various private insurance companies usually cover costs. Silver Cross Home Health will help research your coverage prior to beginning services.
