Arthur and Vera Smith Pavilion at Silver Cross Opens
Silver Cross Hospital is excited to announce the opening of the new Arthur and Vera Smith Pavilion-the most recent initiative in advancing world-class health care in the greater Joliet area. On March 23,1998, the Smith Pavilion became the new main entrance to Silver Cross Hospital. All patients and visitors should use this new entrance, located adjacent to the hospital-just off Copperfield Avenue. The address of the hospital, 1200 Maple Rd., Joliet, has not changed.
Services that have relocated to the new Smith Pavilion include:
|Admitting and Registration||Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery|
|Nuclear Medicine||Renal Center (Dialysis)|
|Cardiac Catheterization Lab||Materials Management|
|Stress Testing||Sterile Processing|
|Main Lobby||Senior Advantage/Physician Referral|
These services are adjacent to X-ray, Mammography, CT Scan, Cardiac Cath and the MRI areas.
The Maple Road entrance is available for inpatient visitors, therapy patients and to discharge overnight patients. The Walnut Street entrance is utilized by staff only.
This remarkable 92,000 square foot, three story facility, was initiated by a gift from former Silver Cross Board member Arthur Smith and subsequently supported by more than 1,200 benefactors.
