Friends of Silver Cross
Dear Friends,
My name is Manny Botello and I am a long-time resident of Joliet. Simply put, I whole-heartedly support Silver Cross’ plans for a new hospital because it is in the best interest of all Will County residents.
I know that this is a once-in-the-lifetime chance for my family and your family to receive the best care possible close to our homes.
I voiced my feelings and I urge you to do the same. This is the letter I am sending to my local newspaper.
Dear Editor:
I am a proud resident of Joliet and have lived in the community with my husband and children for many years. I love my community and I want to see it continue to grow and change in a positive way. That is why I throw my full support behind Silver Cross and their proposal to build a replacement hospital.
Although I live close to its current location, I was so happy to hear that Silver Cross wants to offer even better health care by building a brand new hospital with the latest technologies, more services and Children’s Memorial doctors to care for our kids right here in Will County.
It makes absolutely no sense that the city is using tax payer dollars to prevent the people of Joliet from receiving better health care. What is worse, these are the very people we elected to represent us. The very people we depend on to look out for our best interest. Instead, sadly, they have allowed politics and egos stand in the way of doing what is right for the people of Joliet.
I really hope the state approves Silver Cross’ replacement hospital. Not only because it is a good thing, but because it is the right thing to do.
Sincerely,
Manny Botello
Joliet Resident
