Silver Cross Charity Golf Classic Raises $100,500 for New Services
(July 8, 2016) — The Silver Cross Foundation raised $100,500 at the 25th Annual Charity Golf Classic. Held at Crystal Tree Country Club on June 27, 144 golfers came out to support Silver Cross Hospital. Proceeds are going to the Campaign for Health: Investing in our Commitment to Excellence, a three year fund raising effort. This campaign will help fund programs, services, and medical technology used to care for patients.
Silver Cross Encore Shop Plans Back to School Sale in July
(July 7, 2016)—Silver Cross Hospital’s resale shop—Encore Shop, will host a Back to School Sale, Tuesday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the items available for purchase include school and office supplies, back packs, binders and dorm room needs as well as clothing, shoes, and other school related materials. All proceeds benefit Silver Cross Hospital, a not-for-profit health care provider. In addition, beginning Tuesday, August 2, the Encore Shop will hold a clearance sale on all other items in the store. Encore Shop accepts cash and Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. No debit cards will be accepted.
Super Bowl Champion, Jerome Bettis, helps Unveil Silver Cross Hospital’s New Robot for Joint Replacement Surgery at Lincoln-Way West
(June 22, 2016) —Pro Football Hall of Famer and 2006 Super Bowl Champion, Jerome Bettis, traveled to Lincoln-Way West High School last night (June 21) to help educate area residents about joint health and the importance of mobility. He shared his personal experiences on managing joint pain and staying healthy. He even talked about his mother’s knee replacement surgery.
Silver Cross Founders Support Hospital’s Mission with Donation
(June 21, 2016)— Recently, the Will County Union of King’s Daughters and Sons presented Silver Cross Hospital with $7,500 for Silver Cross’ inpatient dialysis services that was raised last fall at the Union’s largest fundraising event, the Silver Crossings Vendor/Craft Fair. This final payment is part of the Union’s $30,000 pledge to renovate the water filtration room.
